How to choose a better blanket?
Blanket is a kind of commonly used bedding, which has the function of keeping warm. It is thinner than quilt, and its raw material is mostly animal fiber.
The weaving method of blanket is divided into two types: machine weaving and knitting. There are two types of woven blankets woven by ordinary wool looms and pile looms. Knitting is divided into warp knitting, tufting, needle punching, stitching and so on. In addition to fluffing, the post-processing is also processed by steaming, combing, scratching, ironing, shearing or rolling. There are many kinds of patterns and colors of blankets, including geometric patterns, flowers, landscapes, animals and so on. Generally, blankets are decorated and reinforced with overhanging, wrapping, and fringing.
The quality of the felt, first of all depends on the characteristics and processing of the fiber. Then look at the density, weight, and twisting method of the plush fiber. The denser and thicker the pile, the heavier the weight of pile per unit area. The better the texture and appearance of the blanket can be maintained. Basically, short-haired and densely woven blankets are more durable.
There are two main methods to check the density and elasticity of general short wool blankets. First, you can use your thumb to press on the blanket. After pressing, it quickly returns to its original state, which means that the density and elasticity of the woven pile are good. Or bend the blanket. The harder it is to see the bottom pad, it means that the pile is more densely woven and more durable. As for the importance of fluff, you can read the instructions on the label.
